In depth

Verdict

There are some beautifully-bred fillies lining up here and the Coolmore operation have five of the 12 entries. Aidan O'Brien is triple-handed with Johnny Murtagh settling for WILD WIND, which is hardly surprising given his mounts fine debut behind Seeham over 6f here when there looked much more to come. She gets the vote but David Wachman's pair Jambalaya and Quaintly are also bred in the purple and the latter made a nice start behind Roches Cross at Listowel. She will improve but it was Puttore who made the most impressive debut when shaking up the long odds-on Ballydoyle-trained Together at Leopardstown. There was plenty to like about the run of Light Footsteps behind Obligada at Limerick and she's another who will have benefited from the experience. Jim Bolger's newcomer Hasty Katie is a half-sister to a useful winning juvenile over this trip while Laughing Lashes is a half-sister to a winning miler and out of a mare who scored at that trip.
