Verdict

JOHNNY CASTLE is proving frustrating after four successive seconds but there was nothing wrong with his attitude when beaten under topweight by Sound Amigo on his Haydock reappearance. This looks a good opening for John Gosden's colt and he can gain a deserved success. Panoptic will not let her male counterpart have things all his own way, having travelled sweetly at Goodwood before going down in a three-way photo. She gives the impression she might not be totally straightforward but rates the danger. Adelina Patti shaped nicely at Salisbury and should appreciate the extra furlong, although she looks more of a handicap sort. Raymbek Batyr and Powder Keg are newcomers to note.
