Verdict

SIRIUS PROSPECT was the impressive winner of a competitive handicap at York last month when completing his hat-trick. The step up to pattern company was inevitable after that performance and Dean Ivory's sprinter may not have finished improving yet. He's worth sticking with here unless the ground becomes testing in which case Ayr Gold Cup hero Our Jonathan could prove the one to beat. The latter had subsequent winner Eton Rifles and Mayson behind at the Scottish track. Libranno was only beaten a length at Ascot by Deacon Blues three weeks ago and has claims on that run while Iver Bridge Lad landed a Group 3 in France during the week. Prime Defender may prefer faster ground, but Aneedah could make her presence felt.
