Shady Mccoy hasn't won all season but has really struck form in his last few starts, all of them at this level. He was caught on the line in the race a year ago and will make a bold bid to go one better. Ian Williams also runs Boy In The Bar, who broke the track record over this trip at Chelmsford in September and was engaged there on Thursday where he couldn't defy a 4lb rise. Mr Top Hat was headed in the last stride over a mile at Newmarket and is very consistent though he's only won once. GREAT PROSPECTOR hasn't had much racing and has a touch of quality as he showed when a very close third in a Redcar Listed contest last time. He gets the nod though Lord Oberon won twice at Southwell before a hat-trick of second places and with only six runs behind him has plenty of scope for further progress.
