In depth

Verdict

Ascot Lime is an intersting newcomer from a top yard and has to be respected, however Woolfall Treasure has the form in the bag and gets the verdict, Newly Elected is also given a strong mention. George Margarson's charge, having shown plenty of promise in three maidens, was thought good enough to run in a listed contest in France. he ran well for a long way and he should go close in this lesser company. Ascot Lime is aimed pretty high on his debut, but shouldn't be underestimated with the yard in such cracking form. Newly Elected beat a subsequent winner on his Newbury debut and has every chance here despeite having to give weight away. Bazergan and Cigalass are both open to plenty of improvement following just one run, but we return to the most exposed runner in the line up for our selection and that is Woolfall Treasure.
