Another wide-open handicap with most having some sort of chance. Barnet Fair and Confessional are still capable of popping up at this level. Lathom has been running better than his form figures would suggest but was behind the enigmatic Sign of The Kodiac at Newmarket in June, though there shouldn't be much between the pair on revised terms. Shore Step is useful and has been lightly campaigned this year while My Name Is Rio wasn't beaten far off this mark last time at Musselburgh, though generally prefers an easier surface. BASHIBA is still 4lb higher than when beating Confessional here just under 12 months ago but Rowan Scott takes off 5lb today and Nigel Tinkler's gelding won in this grade at Windsor last month – he seems sure to give supporters a run for their money again. Lexington Place is another with solid each-way claims.
