Verdict

San Quentin scrambled home over this trip at Beverley on Wednesday but has a 6lb penalty to contend with. Purple Rock ran at the same meeting and finished third. That was arguably a better race than this so he goes on the short-list but Best Tamayuz hasn't really threatened off higher marks since winning at Nottingham in May and the hat-trick seeking We'll Shake Hands is worth opposing upped in grade. Zabeel Star should be cherry-ripe now and My Mo won over hurdles last month and George Buckell has already ridden a couple of winners on this track. INGLEBY SPRING and Natalie Hambling dead-heated in one of these at Epsom last time, however, and the partnership can have the winner's enclosure to themselves today.
