A couple of recent winners have come out of the Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood. AMBIANCE finished third in this year's renewal with Sleeper King in close attendance and Reroute well beaten. There was cut in the ground on that occasion so Mick Channon's colt is expected to handle today's going and is just preferred to Wind Fire. The latter beat Excel's Beauty in a Listed race before finding a couple too good in the Lowther at York. Fast is progressive and will handle soft ground, though she still has something to prove at this level and Richard Hughes prefers the Richmond Stakes third Thunder Strike. Extortionist had an off-day in France last time but the Ascot Listed winner is not out of this back over the minimum trip.
