Verdict

The last three winners have carried Godolphin's colours and it could be the same story in this year's renewal. IHTIMAL's ability to handle slow ground has to be taken on trust but she was the most impressive of the recent winners when landing the Sweet Solera at Newmarket by a cosy couple of lengths. Saeed Bin Suroor's filly is preferred to Majeyda, who just got the better of Qawaasem at Sandown in July before the latter finished ahead of Halljoy when runner-up in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood. Lady Lara and Vivere look up against it but Lustrous may well have the ability to get involved at this level having won a maiden race at Sandown on her racecourse debut only last week.
