In depth

Verdict

A tight little nursery that can go to Myths And Verses, who is just preferred over Charles Darwin and Garstang. The last named won a seller on his penultimate start and arrives here in good heart. However, he was two and a half lengths adrift of the selection when they met at Chester 13 days ago and has a little bit to find on a literal reading of that form. Charles Darwin was also down the field in that race and needs to post an improved display. Still, he had previously looked capable of landing a small event like this and he may be seen to better effect on this more conventional track. He looks the main threat to our hope on the evidence available. Even so, Myths And Verses has also dropped several significant hints that he is capable of winning a nursery and, off his current mark, he need only run up to the level of his latest outing to confirm his superiority today.
