Verdict

A number of recent winners meet some potentially unexposed sorts and for the winner, we recommend AMAZING BLUE SKY though we are fearful of My Girl Jode and Sham Sheer. Ruth Carr's stable are in rude health at present and the son of Barathea made all to land a similar contest at the course. On the negative, he has yet to encounter conditions as testing as these but he had shown some aptitude for the fibresand at Southwell so there is at least a crumb of comfort in that. My Girl Jode landed some nice bets in a bad race at Yarmouth. Highly tried as a juvenile, she could potentially be well handicapped at present. Sham Sheer has offered little so far but the application of the visor and the booking of Seb Sanders appear positive signs. Steel Trade is a workmanlike maiden. The Quiet Genius was easy to back on fast ground at Pontefract whilst the well bred King¿s Counsel has yet to live up to expectations. Amazing Blue Sky is accordingly nominated in our finale tonight.
