    Verdict

Efidium is taken here to return to winning ways to score at the expense of the in-form Mallard and the consistent Up Tempo while Andreyev may be an outsider to consider. The selection has been in excellent heart of late not getting the best luck in running when beaten last time out when attempting to land a hat-trick. He goes well for today's jockey, is well drawn and should handle the ground. Mallard won well at Wolverhampton last time out and in such good heart he rates a danger. However his turf form is below his fine All Weather standard and he may find a couple too good here. Up Tempo has been running consistently of late and generally runs well at this track. Aided by a good apprentice he is capable of going close though he could have been drawn better. Andreyev would not spring to mind as a likely winner of this race at first glance but he is now well handicapped on his best form and he ran well for a long way before fading last time out at Redcar. He could run very well at a big price.
