Amy Ryan has won on Emirate Isle before but he is yet to conclusively prove his stamina for this trip and so we will take a chance on BLACK DAHLIA ahead of Nawamees and Dar Es Salaam. Down at the bottom of the weights Prince Noel is an interesting contender however his profile hints that another place may follow and it is the inconsistent Black Dahlia who gets our backing. Rachel Green takes the ride on this two-time winner who tends to mingle good with bad performances. Her last run at Southwell was poor but she is better judged on her fourth behind Closertobelieveing at Doncaster. Back on a better surface today this Dansili filly is fancied to run well at rewarding odds. Nawamees ran a blinder last time out and looks a contender for his new stable, however this mark of 76 demands a little more improvement, so a bigger danger may be New Star who won well last time at Wolverhampton. Dar Es Salaam was punished for a comfortable win two starts back at Newbury and the drop back in trip is in his favour but his mark looks too high. Emirate isle and Celtic Strand come here in good form, as does Inchloch whose second when last seen at York is solid form in the context of this race. Thunderstruck and Yetholm are two more for consideration, with the latter's trainer James Fanshawe in better form, however it is Black Dahlia who gets the nod.
