        Verdict

        Bomad is on a roll but a 5lb rise and step up in grade could scupper the hat-trick bid. WIRRAL GIRL was racing off a 2lb higher mark when just beaten at Nottingham the last time she appeared at this level. Paul Hanagan seems to get on well with Richard Fahey’s filly, who gets the nod to come good again. Jonboy was only beaten a neck at Hamilton last month but has yet to encounter going this quick. Pontefract winner Zumurud is only 3lb higher, however, and Roland Rocks may be running into form. Arcavallo, on the other hand, has yet to recapture last year’s good form.
