In depth

Verdict

Ghost, a winner on Tapeta in March, is the obvious one in this having found only one too good in two starts since switching to Turf. Gullane One has shown enough to suggest he could figure in a race like this. Gorgeous General ran his best race so far last time at Carlisle and Our Little Pony continues to slip down the weights. But Phil Dennis, who rode her last time at Beverley, keeps his partnership with MILTON ROAD intact. The top weight hasn’t been disgraced in slightly better company this year and the handicapper has given him a chance today with his promising young rider taking off a further 3lb.
