Verdict

FRONTLINE PHANTOM was gelded over the winter which probably contributed to him posting an improved effort on his reappearance over C&D. He ran out a cosy winner on that occasion and there looks more to come from Elaine Burke's charge. Sixth-placed Sharakti has since boosted the form with a victory and should go well again here, while last September's York winner Veiled Applause is another with claims. Kidlat is best on the all-weather however, and El Dececy has yet to prove he stays the trip.
