Verdict

Internationaldebut's losing run stretches back nearly two years now and there could be value in taking him on with DESERT POPPY. A progressive three-year-old, Walter Swinburn's filly landed the first of her two wins on her seasonal debut in 2010 and connections will be looking for a similar outcome here. Recent Ripon winner Cape Vale will need to improve to score again off a 5lb higher mark and Whozthecat has so far proved best over the minimum trip. The speedy Diman Waters is another with a bit to prove over 6f, but Medici Time looks set for a bold bid off bottom weight. The lightly-raced Free For All returns from a lengthy absence but has shown plenty of ability in maidens.
