Verdict

SIR ECTOR followed two fine runs over timber in mid-summer by scoring on the level at Leopardstown. He'd probably be better over further but testing conditions will make this a stamina test and he looks the one to beat. The veteran Keelaghan was having his first start since 2010 when well beaten on the Flat last month but that should have put him straight and he reverts to hurdles on a 26lb lower mark than over fences. Beausang ran very well at Wexford last time though that was on very fast ground while Bill The Yank couldn't handle a 12lb rise for his easy victory at Ballinrobe when sent to Tramore. Rockazar has won once from 22 starts over timber and still looks on a high enough mark.
