In depth

Verdict

SCOTS GAELIC is progressing nicely and can make a winning Polytrack debut from what appears a lenient mark. Pat Flynn's charge, a winner over this trip at Tramore in August, has been racing over much shorter subsequently and will find this much more to his liking. The veteran Emmpat is better known as a chaser these days but is perfectly capable of a big run here as he showed when scoring from the same mark over the C&D in March. Realisation looks a real threat as Mark Johnston's gelding has been running well recently and was probably undone by the very heavy going at Warwick on Monday. He looks capable of better while Gordon Elliott has recent Perth hurdles winner Al Dafa in good form and on a reasonable mark.
