Exact is first reserve here and would be of interest if getting a run despite a poor debut in testing ground at Navan. Curia Regis ran two fine races here last autumn and was made favourite on his reappearance at Ballinrobe in May but failed to fire. He can do better while Free Spin also showed promise around the same time last year though an absence since November is a concern. Pacific Ridge ran very well over 1m3f here in May so it was a surprise to see him dropping back to this trip a couple of weeks later and he couldn't quite quicken at the finish. He should get in the firing-line but this looks made for THAT BOY DAVID. Ger Lyons' has definitely been disappointing after his tremendous run behind Van Ellis here in May but he's been racing on Turf so a return to Polytrack may enable him to gain that elusive first success.
