Forcing tactics have worked wonders for Coach Bombay, who was gaining his fifth victory on the track here three weeks ago. He'll make a bold bid again but a 9lb rise looks tough and runner-up Jessamine should get much closer on 7lb better terms. General Bunching doesn't appear to have been done any favours by a spell of hurdling and Best Kept Secret is very moderate, though at least he's back on the same mark as for his only success to date. NEW DIRECTION made his handicap debut over 1m3f at Limerick on Saturday where he ran a fine race, leading at this trip before fading in the heavy ground. That will have brought him to concert pitch and he looks well enough treated to gain his first victory.
