    Verdict

Intrigued, Red Riot and Inca Wood all displayed promise on their debuts and they should fight out the finish here, with the first named given the vote. Sir Mark Prescott's filly ran green at Beverley and was a little short of room more than a furlong out, before staying on well after being switched. The experience will not have been lost on her, and she should improve leaps and bounds. Red Riot also ran at Beverley, and was noted making late headway to finish fifth behind the Prescott trained Varenka, once again improvement should be forthcoming. Inca Wood ran well on her debut when runner up to Fantasy Ride on soft ground, she should go close if she handles this firmer surface. The other two runners, Yankey and Archie Wright need to show marked improvement, so Intrigued does hold very strong claims.
