In depth

Verdict

CAPELAND didn't overly impress when landing a first novice hurdle success at Newton Abbot in October but as a result looks to have got in on a feasible mark for this handicap bow. All four career performances to date have indicated that he's the sort to only do just enough, whilst his ability to handle any type of ground is an added plus. Stable companion Far West is one to note in the market as he returns after an absence of over 620 days, though he's more likely to need the run before taking up other options. Hello George has plenty of scope to work with but is another that's been absent for a long while and Space Oddity could be more interesting off just 10-3, although his two runs to date this term have been rather low-key. So the one to hunt up the selection may well be Kayf Blanco, who has no fitness issues and ran a fine race last time when taking third behind Brain Power in a competitive Sandown hurdle, form which looks even better now.
