Verdict

Cristal De Sienne ran in snatches when runner-up in a Newbury bumper on debut and should prove more streetwise second time up. He rates a major candidate. Beni Light produced a competent first effort at Wincanton last spring whilst Mister Malarky has be checked in the market as a Tizzard debutant and Le Drapeau is another noteworthy newcomer. The form standard is a close-run affair between PEARL ROYALE and Nelson's Touch with the former just preferred on the back of a more than acceptable effort in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham. She could well be the one in an interesting contest. Also keep an eye on Mr Clarkson, runner-up to the highly-touted Finian's Oscar, a recent Hereford winner, in a Portrush point-to-point in late October. The form could prove very good indeed.
