Verdict

SAROQUE was always travelling easily before scoring at Wetherby and a 7lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent the progressive gelding going in again. Chemistry Master makes his handicap debut after impressing in a Wincanton maiden while the lack of a recent run won't be a concern for Watergate Bay, who won a novice hurdle at Taunton on his only start under Rules in 2011. Ballinahow Star enters the fray in excellent shape having easily landed a novices' hurdle at Wincanton but Xaarcet has suffered in the weights after completing a hat-trick in heavy conditions.
