In depth

Verdict

Chapter Five enjoyed a cracking summer on the level in staying contests and makes a belated hurdling debut here, his only previous run under NH Rules coming when winner of a Newcastle bumper back in the spring of 2011 in the care of Keith Reveley. With his useful conditional's allowance taken into account, he receives a hefty 19lb from DOCTOR HARPER who made a particularly striking impression on his hurdling debut when scoring over course and distance this month. Despite the considerable weight concession, the Pipe charge looks the sort to stay with until beaten and is taken to follow up. Unefille De Guye, Even If and Sky Watch have place claims but are unlikely to threaten the selection.
