Verdict

It's a surprise to see WOODFORD ISLAND engaged here after he fell at Down Royal on Friday. But he was still in touch when coming down at the second last in the race won by stable companion A Toi Phil and is unlikely to meet anything of the winner’s calibre here. Stablemate Crest loks the type to do better in time having been beaten a long way on his chasing bow at Punchestown but Cassells Rock didn't jump well on his second start over fences at Galway last month. Jimmy Two Times looks the main threat as he was the best of these over hurdles and will be better for his opening run over the bigger obstacles at Gowran last month, his first start since April.
