Verdict

ASTHURIA can complete an opening race double for the champion trainer. Twice-raced on heavy ground in France, she was thrown in at the deep end in the Grade 1 Mares' Novice Championship Final here in March and did well to finish third behind Jer's Girl. Winning point-to-pointer and bumper Dont Kick Nor Bite steps up to this trip for the first time over hurdles after a couple of placed efforts over the minimum and looks certain to be suited. The Green Lady attempted to make all on her return to action over two miles at Galway and though fading in the closing stages will have come on for the run. Freeway Space was an expensive failure at Cork in March having showed potential in bumpers and will need to jump much better. She's Otto started long odds-on for a Gowran bumper in February and won by a distance so she's one to look forward to.
