In depth

Verdict

Though fitness could be an issue, there should be more to come from CHANDOS BELLE this season. Better ground is likely to suit Stuart Edmunds' filly, who was placed at Doncaster and Plumpton last season before a close-up fifth at Stratford when she was let down by her jumping. Sir George Somers is also unexposed having had just five career starts. He improved on his first run over timber when third at Ffos Las in May while Alexander The Grey has shown some improvement in his last two, though is now 0-9 over timber. Wind Place And Sho has been in action on the Flat and is probably better than he's shown so far while Shark Hanlon's Summer Storm can't be ignored, despite top weight.
