Sophosc is 2-2 over hurdles and has also won twice on the Flat this year. An opening mark of 112 is probably fair but he does step up in trip. It’s almost three years since Yccs Portocervo last ran over timber and he’s probably having a confidence-booster with CAWTHORNE LAD making more appeal as he’s been knocking on the door again lately. Kadex won twice in France and Lucy Wadham should find a race for him but the handicapper has taken no chances. Rhebus Road looks best of the rest.
