      Verdict

An interesting heat in which we're prepared to take a chance with BERE DAVIS but there are several others that we also like the look of including Benedetto and Kinnego Bay. David Evans' runner hasn't won since debut but his handicap mark has finally dropped to a feasible level and he has shown signs of returning to form of late. He finished second here on his penultimate start before running well enough at Bath considering his draw; cheekpieces are applied, Holland is a good booking and he could spring a surprise. Benedetto didn't enjoy the run of the race at Goodwood last time but he's weighted to be competitive here whilst Kinnego Bay may appreciate the return to the track having finished nearer last than first at Wolverhampton. My Learned Friend is respected, Granary's heavy ground Leicester win may have done her confidence some good whilst market support for Manchestermaverick and Elusive Hawk would send bookies running for cover. Liberty Belle rates a mention as she wasn't beaten too far last time and this is, rather surprisingly given her pedigree, only her second race at seven and she could benefit from the step back up. This is a good puzzle, Bere Davis is our suggestion.
