Verdict

The trio of Perfect Prefect, Carvilla and Manoram have shown a limited amount of ability but it is impossible to get away from Kadount here and he is taken to justify likely short odds. The selection was rated in the 140s at his best and still retains plenty of ability judged by recent success in a point-to-point and again in a hunter chase at Fakenham last month. A reproduction of either of those runs should be more than sufficient for the 10-year-old. Perfect Prefect, successful in a point three starts ago, has failed to reproduce a similar level of form since then. Similar comments apply to both Carvilla and Manoram and it is hard to get away from Kadount, who gets the vote.
