        Verdict

        Calistos Quest has shown progressive form in recent starts on the Polytrack but a 4lb rise for his latest effort looks a shade harsh and Marco Botti's colt may be best left out of calculations on his return to the turf, with preference for Astrodonna who gets the vote over West Lorne. The last mentioned showed useful form in her first two starts but disappointed when last seen at Lingfield last month and she may be best watched on her handicap debut. Ocean Legend was good value for his win at Southwell last month but does not look to be particularly well treated for his debut in a handicap. Ed Dunlop's Dancer's Legacy disappointed when last seen as a juvenile but could be of interest on his first outing at three, stepping up in trip. Preference though is for the Mark Tompkins-trained Astrodonna, who stepped up on her debut effort when good value for her win at Wolverhampton. She should have no problems with the trip and seems well enough treated for her debut in a handicap.
