Verdict

MABAIT is our idea of the winner, while Zowington and Halsion Chancer are both in great form and will pose as the biggest dangers. The selection is six pounds higher in the ratings after winning on his seasonal reappearance at Ripon. He is still only lightly raced and it is clear that he has trained on and improved since his two year old days. If he can recapture his recent form he is thought good enough to overcome his rise in the ratings. Zowington carries a six pound penalty for his recent success at Leicester. He has won off a mark of 88 in the past and was good enough to win off 78 last season so he is more than capable of performing well off his current rating. Halsion Chancer gets a five pound rise for winning at Lingfield at the beginning of the month. He is another horse that is well treated on his old form and if returning to anywhere near his best he is sure to be in the shake-up come the business end of the race. Mabait is relatively unexposed compared to the majority of his rivals and is taken to come out on top.
