Verdict

A modest hurdle with TAYARAT as the pick with Potemkin and What's For Tea as the alternatives. Evan Williams' charge was hardly the most natural of hurdlers but this ex-Marcus Tregoning inmate, didn't put up a bad effort at Plumpton on introduction and if some rudimentary schooling has gone well, he appears up to a race of this nature. Potemkin will have the benefit of experience. His latest start, although numerically worse than his second, did represent something of a step in the right direction. What's For Tea is in receipt of the fillies' allowance. She could come on for the experience although she has had plenty of use made of her on the flat previously. Epsom Salts showed very little on the level until his last outing. Morestead did not exhibit a lot in similar events during the summer and he will need all of Tony McCoy's powers of persuasion today. Tayarat gets the nod.
