Verdict

Fool's Wildcat, three times a winner over hurdles, has been beaten in small fields at Perth on his last two starts and hasn't done quite as well as expected so far over fences. He finished a long way behind REGAL D'ESTRUVAL in the race won by Gudnis Gracious Me at Tramore last month and is unlikely to reverse positions with Jim Culloty's charge, who can take this. What's New has won a couple of times over timber and should make a chaser as should Native Palm, who has shown ability over hurdles. The lightly-raced Caribbean Sea is only a four-year-old but must have been showing something at home to be sent over fences this early.
