Verdict

Having made a superb start to the Festival, Tony Martin's winning point-to-pointer and bumper BLACKMAIL will attract attention on his hurdling debut, especially after a fine prep run on the Flat earlier in the month, and is taken to make a successful start. Enchanted Forest is the form pick over timber but he's now had a total of 30 career starts without winning including 16 over timber. Minella Reception hasn't been seen since October where his jumping went to pieces, and not for the first time, but winning Cork bumper Scienter has all the attributes to make a good hurdler and has to be respected. Pumbaa made a bright start over hurdles behind Band Of Blood at Limerick and that form has worked out quite well so he looks a threat.
