Verdict

Bob Lingo won this a year ago with several of these behind including Muirhead and Deal Done, who both ran well but appear unlikely to turn the tables. The winner will have a tough task with 8lb extra but the 2010 Paddy Power winner Majestic Concorde will have been trained solely with this race in mind after two recent runs on the Flat following a very long break. Klepht and Tranquil Sea fought a battle at Punchestown in April and the latter is capable of reversing the form on these terms while Willie Mullins has a very powerful hand with the very progressive Terminal and the in-form Laganbank. The consistent Jacksonslady can go well for Barry Geraghty while John Kiely must be expecting Carlingford Lough to get a run from her reserve spot as he's booked AP McCoy. UK raiders The Disengager and BOBOWEN fought out the finish of a Listed handicap at Market Rasen in September and the latter returned there to land a similar race earlier this month. Not surprisingly he's shot up the weights and there should be little between the pair again but Doctor Newlove's charge is just taken to come out on top and take this. Romanesco was in touch when falling at the last in the Irish National and has had a nice break in preparation for this.
