The four-year-old JAWBOX came up against smart rivals in his two opening runs in bumpers then fell at the first on his hurdling bow at Kilbeggan. Back in bumper company and getting allowances he can get off the mark. Hallowed Star, a son of Sea The Stars, could hardly have won more easily at Tipperary though conceding 20lb to the selection may prove a step too far. Snegurochka has won two bumpers at Down Royal but couldn't make the transition to Listed company next time and though Eilise's A Lady made a successful debut at Kilbeggan she appeared to need every yard of that 2m4f.
