    Verdict

Communique won a competitive handicap over today’s trip at Newmarket last time and is 5lb higher. He’s preferred to stablemate Ventura Knight while Al Jellaby steps up in distance having gone close over a mile the last twice albeit in lower grade contests. Rock Eagle and New Show are among the least exposed with the former preferred having won a novices' race over 1m2f at Windsor but BATHSHEBA BAY makes most appeal. He was beaten less than a length at Sandown and the form is working out well with runner-up Alfarris subsequently winning here on Tuesday. Richard Hannon’s colt is also preferred to Sing Out Loud though Listed winner Zaman could go well competing in a handicap for the first time.
