      Verdict

Prince Of Johanne has already won a Cambridgeshire and a Royal Hunt Cup but a high draw and a big weight may have scuppered his chances of adding this valuable handicap to the list. The trip could be a worry for both Excellent Guest and in-form three-year-old Fulbright, who is penalised for his narrow win over a shorter distance at Newmarket and had earlier finished behind Vainglory and Albaqaa at Sandown, though he did finish ahead of both subsequent Ascot winner Field Of Dream and Victoria Cup runner-up Captain Bertie that day. Memory Cloth seems to need the mud while Smarty Socks is better over 7f, as is Decent Fella. David O'Meara, responsible for Smarty Socks, also runs MADAM MACIE and it's the mare that could be the value in this. She had little chance at the weights behind Dance And Dance at Doncaster last month but her earlier form has a solid look about it and Danny Tudhope, who has ridden her to two of her four victories, is back on board today. Sir Reginald kept on well at Newmarket last time and may be coming back to form but whether he'll stay this extra furlong is open to debate while hat-trick seeker Swiftly Done has much to prove at this level.
