Three-year-olds don't have a great record in this so it could be worth taking on Angels Will Fall, who had Excelette back in third when arriving late to score at Ayr. The latter is trained by Bryan Smart who also runs the very speedy Tangerine Trees. Winner of the Prix l'Abbaye last October, he confirmed that form with Secret Asset at Royal Ascot and also had Ortensia, Stepper Point, Hamish McGonagall, Stone Of Folca and Amour Propre behind in the King's Stand Stakes, though does have to turn the form around with the luckless Spirit Quartz. BEYOND DESIRE was only fourth behind Masamah in this last year but she strengthened up again over the winter and won at Bath and Longchamp on her first two starts this season. Despite only beating one home at Chantilly subsequently, she wasn't beaten far and the rest since will have done her some good. Roger Varian's mare can come out on top today though it would be no surprise to see Humidor run into a place at decent odds and Elusivity stepped up on previous efforts when scoring at Newmarket.
