ROMEO MONTAGUE is a hopeful choice in more ways than one. He's a strong traveller but not always the most willing individual when asked to go and win his race. At first glance he looked out of his depth in York's hotly-contested Melrose Handicap last time, but delivered a really decent effort behind Parlour Games. Dropped 3lb here, he looks on a tempting mark reverting to a mile and a half. Significant Move, Spice Fair and Megalala are all in good nick at present but all are subject to escalating handicap marks and Golden Waters, upped in grade here, could be more dangerous having scored with something in hand at Brighton last time. Isobar would have claims if recapturing his form but has been out of touch this term.
