      Verdict

      Past Master, a previous course winner, appeared to be coming to hand at Newmarket but steps into the unknown over this longer trip and may get outstayed by RYDAN. A regular here, the eight-year-old goes well fresh so a two-month absence is of little concern. Orin Swift may have just gone off the boil a little but has every chance on the pick of his form this term and thorough stayer Jukebox Jive will ensure a true gallop having shown signs of a resurgence. Never Surrender has dropped to a fair mark judged on his second at Ffos Las and looks the pick of the remainder.
