Captain Lars has had a brilliant career for a horse rated around 80, winning 21 times in a long career. He arrives on a hat-trick and has won from higher marks in the past so should make a bold bid again again. Peggie Sue scored at Wolverhampton then completed a double with a surprise victory at Sandown but couldn’t handle the extra at Leicester and the handicapper may have hold of her. Ghepardo gained her only success at Brighton last September and returned to form on that track last time but this looks tougher. BELLEVARDE looks the one to be on as she completed a double on Turf at Lingfield earlier this summer and bounced back with a very good run in a better race than this at Haydock last time and Poppy Bridgwater is excellent value for her claim.
