Verdict

Mubtaker gets the call in the opener ahead of Centaurus and Unfurled. Mubtaker is the highest rated of the six runners and, appropriately, seems the one to beat. Just denied when seeking a fourth successive win in Newbury's Geoffrey Freer Stakes last time, he comes here in good heart and should go well. Even though he is a bit of a new kid on the block, it was hard not to be taken by Centaurus's demolition of Foreign Affairs at Newmarket last time, and he rates as an interesting prospect. John Dunlop's Unfurled, a Group 3 course and distance runner-up last time, looks to be best of the others, but best of all might prove to be Mubtaker.
