In depth

Verdict

Teak had Longshadow back in third when winning this at 33/1 last year but is 16lb higher this time round. The former finished behind runner-up TAWS over a similar trip to this in the Queen Alexandra at Ascot last month and Rod Millmans' charge may be good enough to go one better off a 2lb higher mark. William Of Orange went close over 2m at York last time and can figure along with the progressive Wordiness, who beat Needless Shouting and Bohemian Rhapsody to land a hat-trick at Newbury recently. Air Squadron is another bidding for a four-timer though hasn't won over further than 1m6f so far while Gavlar narrowly beat Teak over 2m here last month and See And Be Seen beat Arty Campbell five lengths over 2m2f at Pontefract last time.
