Verdict

Pat's Legacy's 6lb penalty for Saturday's fine victory at Windsor gives him plenty to do though his young rider's claim will be a big help. He was receiving 6lb from Uncle Fred when the latter beat him on the same track and Patrick Chamings' charge is entitled to come out on top again at these weights. JEWELLED, who started favourite for that latter event, got no sort of run and wasn't beaten far so looks to have every chance of gaining compensation despite a subsequent defeat at Yarmouth. Compton Blue is just 1lb higher than when scoring here last September and is no forlorn hope.
