In depth

Verdict

DANCE AND DANCE is the alternative to Auld Arty who has had his share of chances already. Auld Arty has a rating in the region of 10lbs in excess of Green Onions and Quick Single and wouldn't be winning out of turn but has found one too strong in handicaps the last twice and may be worth taking on at a short price on his return to maiden company. The problem being that Green Onions and Quick Single have their work cut out, Chase End doesn't make any obvious appeal on paper and Theta Wave and Cool Madam didn't show enough on debut to think that they can take this. In contrast, Ed Vaughan's runner shaped quite pleasingly when double carpet for his debut at Lingfield. He was beaten under four lengths there and, on a line through those in front of him, wouldn't need to improve too much on that to get the better of Auld Arty but now's the time to find out if Dance And Dance can walk the walk.
