    Verdict

Catastrophe has gone close here the last twice over a slightly shorter trip but is now 0-19 and has gone up a couple of pounds. DEVIL’S GUARD (NAP) make more appeal as he’s shown steady improvement since being gelded. A 5lb rise is a worry but he came up against a well-treated rival here last time and the pair pulled well clear of the remainder. Les Pecheurs has hinted at ability but Green Howard is clearly not the force of old and Colour Contrast continues to look one-paced. Born On The Clyde ran a shocker when fancied at Salisbury after a break but should strip fitter here.
